Privacy Policy
Fennec Signals LLC Effective date: Oct 25, 2026
Fennec Signals LLC (“Fennec Signals”, “we”, “us”) builds training and safety technology for endurance athletes, including a coaching platform that lets coaches deliver structured training plans to athletes and review how sessions went (the “Platform”). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, who can see it, and the choices you have. It covers fennecsignals.com and the Platform.
Our approach in one line: your training data is yours. Coaches see what you choose to share with them, never your location unless you share a specific run, and we delete your data when you ask.
1. Who we are
Fennec Signals LLC, Dayton, Ohio, USA. Privacy contact: [email protected]
2. What we collect
Account information. Your name, email address, and the role you choose (athlete, coach, or both). We use email codes and other secure sign-in methods. We don’t store passwords.
Training data you connect or upload. Completed workouts and their measurements, such as pace, distance, duration, heart rate, cadence, running dynamics (for example ground contact time and vertical oscillation), power, altitude and laps, along with the device that recorded them. This comes from:
- devices and services you connect, such as Garmin and COROS, only after you authorize the connection; and
- activity files you upload yourself.
Location. Activity files from watches often include GPS location. We remove location from activity data when we receive it and do not store it, unless you choose to share the route of a specific run. Location is never shown to a coach without that choice.
Plans and training records. Training plans assigned to you or created by you, the workouts you complete, scores of how closely sessions matched the plan, notes, and check-ins you submit (for example, how you slept or whether something hurts).
Payment information. If you buy a plan or coaching, payment is handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation of the purchase and limited details such as the amount and date. We do not receive or store full card numbers.
Website and service logs. Basic technical information needed to run and secure the service, such as IP address, browser type and request times. Our logs identify accounts by an internal ID, not by email or training content. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers.
3. How we use it
- To run the Platform: deliver your plan, send workouts to your connected watch, import your completed sessions, and show you and your coach your results.
- To compute summaries and scores of your sessions against your plan.
- To process payments and send receipts and renewal reminders.
- To keep the service secure and fix problems.
- To communicate with you about your account and the service.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not use your data to train machine learning models shared across users without your separate, explicit consent.
4. Who can see your data
Your coach, on your terms. When you connect with a coach, you grant access by category (for example heart rate, running dynamics or check-ins). You can change or revoke a category at any time. When you revoke access, your coach loses access to that category, including data shared earlier.
Plan authors. If you follow a plan someone has published, the author sees only totals you opt into (such as how many people started or finished), never your individual data or location, unless you choose to share more with them.
Service providers. We use a small number of providers to operate the service: hosting, database and file storage, network and security services, email delivery, and payment processing. They process data only on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes. You can ask us for the current list.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, or to protect the safety of a person or the security of the service.
Business transfers. If Fennec Signals is involved in a merger or acquisition, your information may transfer as part of it, and this policy will continue to apply.
We do not otherwise share your data with third parties.
5. Data from connected services
When you connect a third-party service such as Garmin or COROS, you authorize that service to send us data from your account, and in some cases authorize us to send workouts to your account there. We use that data only to provide the Platform to you and the coaches you choose. We do not pass data received from these services to any other company. Data that came from a Garmin device is labeled as such wherever it appears.
You can disconnect a service at any time from your account settings or from the service’s own settings. After you disconnect, we stop receiving new data from it.
6. Health-related information
Training data and check-ins can be considered consumer health information under some state laws. We collect it only to provide the Platform, only with your consent, and you can withdraw consent and request deletion at any time. We do not sell it.
7. How long we keep data
We keep your data while your account is active. If you delete your account or ask us to delete your data, we delete it from the Platform, including stored activity files, within 30 days, and it ages out of our backups shortly after. We keep only a record that a deletion took place. Payment records may be kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.
8. Your choices and rights
You can:
- see what we store about you;
- correct your information;
- download your data;
- revoke a coach’s access to any category;
- disconnect any connected service;
- delete your account and data.
To do any of these, or if you can’t do it in the app, email [email protected]. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law, such as the right to know, correct or delete your information and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We will respond within the time the law requires and won’t charge you for it.
9. Security
We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and by limiting who can access it. Fennec Signals staff do not browse users’ private content. Access for support is limited, logged, and done only when needed. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will notify you as the law requires.
10. Children
The Platform is not intended for anyone under 18 at this time. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Where data is processed
We are based in the United States and process data in the United States. If you use the Platform from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US.
12. Changes to this policy
The Platform is in early development, and we will update this policy as it grows. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in the Platform before they take effect. The effective date at the top shows when this policy was last updated.
